To remain healthy and fit is what everyone wishes. With the polluting environment and the junk foods and street foods, now a day’s people tend to gain more weight resulting in obesity. Unhealthy lifestyle leads to different Non-Communicable disease which is increasing day by day i.e. High Blood Pressure, stroke, diabetes, Heart attack , obesity, cancer, Kidney disease etc. As we know, that prevention of disease is more important and effective than cure. Being healthy and fit is one of the key measures for the prevention of disease. People neglect their health because of the hectic daily schedules but there are little things that you can do each day that will add to being healthy and fit. They are
- Being Physically active (Walking, Cycling, Playing, Working at field, Household Work, Yoga and Exercise ,etc.)
- Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables(At least two servings of fruits/day; two to three servings of vegetables each day)
- Use more intake of fibre rich food(whole grains, cereals, beans, pulses , vegetables) and limit intake of refined form of wheat flour(Maida)
- Limit intake of Salt (Not more than 5 gm per day{1 teaspoon})
- Say No to smoking
- No harmful use of alcohol
- Sleeping at least 7 hours in a day
- No stress
- Control your body weight
- Regular Health check ups- BP measurement, blood sugar level, urine Protein, etc.
